You should not use any human shampoo. Many people used to suggest baby shampoo, however, there may be some additives that are harmful to your piggy. ∙ 11y agoI have three pigs and have been using baby shampoo. Their coats are very shiny and soft and the shampoo is gentle for their skin. I've also used shampoos for "small animals" from pet stores, but my little ones were itching a lot.
Be sure you rinse your pig's coat thoroughly so no residue dries on their skin that may irritate it.

∙ 13y agoI don't think dog shampoo is the best for a guinea pig, as they are two different animals and the shampoo might be a bit too strong for guinea pigs. I recommend baby shampoo.
