You don't say how long you plan to be gone, but your family is providing you with an opportunity to see your grandfather who is in ill health. You might never see him again or have the opportunity. Unless your fiance has other concerns that are not stated here (safety, visa issues, etc), I would think you should go.

Further to that my fiance doesn't want me to go as I currently have no job though I have a job for me waiting when I come back, and my mother has said that she will pay my half of rent and bills whilst I'm away. I want to go because it's my family but I also don't want to argue with my fiance
