- If either your mother or father remarried and either your sister or you are the product of that marriage then you carry some of the same genes and in that case it would be called 'incest' which is a crime in most States. If your mother or father married and your sister or you had a different mother and father then you both do not have the same genes of your present parents then it is not incest. Your stepsister obviously feels it is not right to be lovers and you should respect her feelings and stop second guessing that she may feel the same way about you. Try getting out and dating more before you make a terrible mistake in your life.
