from what i have read it is the blower motor resistor it goes bad and only lets the fan run on high google blower motor resistor and read on
From what I have read online, it should be near the actual blower motor under the dash. They say it is easy to replace, but hard to get to. I plan on replacing mine as soon as I get paid.It is behind the blower motor...How_do_you_replace_the_resistor_on_the_blower_motor_of_a_2002_Buick_Century_The_fan_works_are_on_higher_speeds_only_Does_not_work_on_low_speeds
Check the blower motor resistor/relay pack usually under the hood connected to the blower motor. You can start by using a multimeter and see if you are getting voltage to the blower motor electrical connector. It should read between 12 and 15v. If not then most likely the resistor/relay need to be replaced.
blower motor relay or control circuit...read up on the checks for this.. ...everyone should have a manual for their vehicle(parts store or dealer), and a local library should have professional shop manuals available in the REFERENCE section for free...make copies of the appropriate sections...read up and good luck :)
First, you should read the manual to find out how to replace it and what products can be used. If this does not help, contact the manufacturer.
I think you have problem with the blower resistor. Please follow the procedure to check. * remove the connector to the blower motor. * use voltmeter to check the voltage. * connect one probe to the ground and the other probe to the 3.0R/w of the motor supply. * turn on the the blower motor with dial, you should read supply voltage, 12Vdc. * if you have positive voltage at the 3.0R/w then you should check the blower resistor and blower switch. blower switch supplies battery negative to the blower motor through the blower resistor. if you need further help please just let me know.
The Blower Motor Resisotr Pack is defective. Replace it. diagnose the blower motor resistor circuit... read up on how... everyone should have a manual for their vehicle, and a professional shop manual should be available at the library in the reference section for FREE...make copies of the right pages and fix your vehicle like a PRO! :) good luck Dave :)
ABS and blower motor are unrelated. To fix blower motor, read this:http://www.ricksfreeautorepairadvice.com/diagnostics/blower-only-works-on-high-speed
About 15 minutes. Easy and simple. Read all about it at www.trailvoy.com
On the OEM valve cover it should read " 4.0 HO ". There should also be a label under the hood over the fan shroud that will tell you what motor you have.
The blower motor resistor block is located on the underside of the HVAC housing (Heater Box) next to the blower motor. The blower motor is located at the right side of the dashboard. You can access the blower motor resistor block from under the dashboard. A Word of Caution! Stay clear of the blower motor resistor block heat sink - It could be Hot. Incidentally, I have read about people working on their dashboards and setting off the airbag. It is a good thing to disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery and make sure that it can not touch the battery post. Wait at least a couple of minutes for the airbag system to discharge.
i know that there are three screws that hold up the motor under the pass dash that i have seen. one of is very tough to reach. i have two of them out right now and it seems like it will drop right down. but curently im waiting on a different part that might be the reason why my ac heat blower does not work. the blower motor resistor. it is easilly reached when the glove box is removed. you should be able to read low m1 m2 high on it, at least mine did. i believe that is what controls the blower speed. can easilly be removed(two screws). $41 part at acura.
