Depends on its species. Frogs have adapted to every habitat except the ocean and are found on every continent except Antarctica. If you are considering keeping a frog as a pet, its needs for space, lighting, temperature, water and tank decoration will depend on its species. You should do some research to work out which species you can provide for and then choose a species. Generally speaking: Desert-dwelling frog:
Relatively large tank, about half-filled with sand
One corner of the sand kept damp
Decorations like rocks and pieces of wood
Feed on ants, termites and mealworms.
Sedentary frogs, not very active and buried most of the time. Aquatic frog:
The popular African Clawed Frog is one of these.
Relatively large tank filled with water.
Small area to climb out, but this will be rare.
Decorations as per fish tank.
Can be housed with peaceful tropical fish.
Feed on water beetles etc. Arboreal (tree) frog:
Large, tall tank.
Bottom of the tank covered in leaf litter, 25% water, preferably running.
Decorations upright, ie. sticks, live plants
Feed on moths, beetles, crickets and mealworms. Ground frog:
Most variable of all.
Will need a poool of water.
Substrate varies per species, leaf litter and grass common.
Housing and hiding places depend on species.
Feeding depends on species.
water
Frogs are amphibians, which mean that they live their adult lives pertly on water and partly on land. It follows that they need to live near water, but as they are not strong enough to live in rivers, they prefer to live in ponds or small streams. Frogs' eggs (frogspawn) are laid in water. The eggs hatch into tadpoles which eventually mutate into adult frogs.

The Pond Habitat of the Frog
The frog's habitat is in or near ponds.
This is because frogs spawn in water.Frogs lay their eggs in the water.
Frog's eggs are laid in clumps.
Toads also lay their eggs in water.
Toad's eggs are laid in strings.
The eggs hatch out into tiny tadpoles which cling to the pond weed.
The tadpoles grow larger and breathe through
feather -like external gills on the side of the head.
They eat the algae in the pond and other vegetable matter. They are also carnivorous and will eat frog and toad eggs and even each other.
As the tadpole grows, it loses these external gills and develops internal gills.
The tadpole grows back legs.
The tadpole then grows front legs.
The tadpole grows further and develops lungs. Its tail begins to disappear.
It is now a frog and is ready to leave the pond.
The area round the pond provides plenty of slugs, flies and other insects for the frog to eat.
The foliage round the pond provides shelter and protection from predators and keeps the air moist.
The moist air round the pond stops the frog's skin from drying out.
well what we put in it is a fake turtle for it to sit on and a couple bugs water it was a baby toad so we had to watch what we put in it we only had it for a couple of days so we still have to go shop for the rest
maybe some mose and sea weed and some other weeds
It depends on the species of frog and where it comes from.
Alge is one of the best cat tails, grass, water lilles. many plants are good as long as they can live in water.
yes for shelter but not to eat

The rain forest is its habitat.
It will migrate to try and find a habitat, or it will die.
