It is always better to tell the truth. Making up excuses has a way of digging you into a deeper hole, as teacher's have a way of smelling lies a mile off. If you have a genuine excuse, then there is nothing to worry about, except if it really IS that ' the dog ate it'. Unfortunately, that one's been a bit misused!
If your real reason is that you were just too lazy to do it, then say so, and better add that you wish you hadn't been ( if you're not, you soon will be...). Probably your teacher will be so shocked that you owned up that they'll forget about being mad.

∙ 14y agoIn my opinion, I think a teacher should mete out a punishment for a student who comes late. But it depends on what the student's reason, maybe for the first time, the teacher can let him off but if he keeps repeating it, you should take action immediately. Reason is because if the teacher does not punish the student, the student might think that the teacher is not going to punish him/her for not coming in punctually and once he has this mindset, this will become a habit. So its best to punish them so as to teach them the right thing because coming in late might caused the student to miss out on alot of things.

You already know the answer to this. Of course it isn't right and she should be reported to her Superior. Teachers have a code of ethics to teach and no more. Coming on to a student is enough to get her ousted out of the school. However, that is right but there is one exception, if the student is 18 years old and is in their last year at the school, it is alight but they should do it in their own privacy and not at school. There are no exceptions to the rule as long as a student is still in school. We had a teacher that dated 16 - 18 year olds in the late 1960's to early 1970's and some of the girls came forward a year or so ago and he was charged. When students are under the charge of a teacher they must follow the code of ethics. Once that student graduates or leaves that particular school the teacher can then date them.
