It's probably a problem with the rack and pinion steering.
Hard turning in one direction can mean a bind in the front end components or the power steering fluid flow is not switching from one side to the other. Check the tie rod ends and steering components with the front end lifted on jack stands.
i would say only other eldorado's because they were front wheel drive v8's...
The problem with this concern could easily be the steering gear. The power steering pump is responsible for providing fluid pressure but the steering gear will provide steering assist with the fluid pressure depending on steering wheel input. with the front wheels suspended and the engine off with the pittman arm disconnected from the steering gear the wheels turned left to right by hand at the tires should turn with the same effort both ways. if not, the concern is within the suspension (ball joints) or steering someplace. If the steering effort is the same suspect a steering gear fault.
ok you have to check on your steering wheel in back of you steering wheel there will be a 2 or 4 bolts you gonna have to remove ,as soon your remove you steering wheel airbag you should see 2 wires one goes to airbag on other will be connected to you steering wheel switches ,,you should remove that and after that you gonna see one bolt you should remove it and you can after that you should be able to pull you steering wheel
Try turning the steering wheel one direction or the other as you try to turn the key.
If you turn the steering wheel all the way one direction or the other, the tierod ends will be in front of the driveshaft(cv joint). They are fairly easy to change.
