I did the job myself a while ago and the parts only ran about $130 per side and $10 for the transmission seal. Took about 3 - 4 hours.
Don't forget to have them replace the seal.

Simply drain the system, disconnect the hoses and lines, unbolt the fan (2 screws), remove the retainers at the top, and it should come right out.
It would be to your advantage to take your car to a Brake Repair Shop if you have to ask that question brakes are not something you should do if you do not have the skill, WBMS
