I truly recommend "Someone Like You", by Sarrah Dessen. I'm mostly a fan of romance, and I thought the book was going to be a total drag, because it's mostly about friendship and a little reality. But in the end I was completely wrong, and I loved it. It's now my favorite book.
I also recommend "Just Listen," and "This Lullaby", also by Sarrah Dessen.
Consider “The Nightingale” by Kristin Hannah. This novel is a beautiful story of two sisters navigating life in France during World War II. It offers rich historical context and themes that spark deep discussions.
One answer is just read, read and read more! Join a book club to then discuss what you've read. If a club doesn't appeal to you, get one friend to read the same book you do and talk about it together.

It ultimately depends on the preferences of the book club members, but a common range is between 8 to 12 books per year, allowing for monthly meetings to discuss each book. This frequency strikes a balance between giving members ample time to read each book and keeping the reading schedule engaging throughout the year.
