Tire pressure is generally determined by the tire, not the car. Check with your tire
dealer if you're not sure. Just don't over inflate. The maximum is stated on the tire sidewall.
I run my tires at about 34 lbs. Much softer and handling suffers, as does milage. Much harder and the ride becomes really rough.
There should be a sticker on the driver's side door edge or the door sill which
recommends inflation. Most folks though, go by the tire rating. I've found that
the car's sticker recommendations are generally pretty soft.

Check the plate in the driver's side door jamb. It will give recommendations. Also, just check the tire sidewall for the max PSI. My tire dealer recommends NOT running at the maximum, but a few lbs less.

Conventional wisdom on tire inflation is to inflate to the pressure indicated on the plaque on the driver's side door jamb. The pressure shown on the tire is the MAXIMUM inflation for that tire. It's not intended to be an inflation recommendation.
