Do not get your dog the surgery. All it does is cure it for about 6 months and then it happens again and you have to end up putting the dog down. If you get the dog pain pills and give them to it daily and slowly stop giving it to him then he will learn how to use his leg again in a different way. His leg will eventually be strong enough for him to slowly jog and walk again although, he will not be as strong and the exact same as before.

∙ 16y agoStop trying to treat it yourself and get the dog to a vet! The torn tail may require stitches and obviously some antibiotics will be given to prevent infection. Please see your vet immediately!

∙ 11y agoit depends..................if its not bleeding or anything try to get him to walk alittle then if hes still feeling pain get a first aid kit and get that wrapping white stuff put that on a lay him on a pillow DON'T wrap it tight or it will be bruced kepp dog on pill fo 7 hours thentake wrap off and see if they can walk if that doent work go to a vet
