be patient, he told you he liked you, the hard part is over. now just wait for it to play out. he is probably avoiding you because he doesn't no how to react to it. when you do see him smile and say hey then he will know that your not rushing him. that he can come around in his own time. he knows you like him so that is one big step is out of the way.
