The best thing to do is to tell the teacher. Tell them why you didn't. Did you forget it at school? Did you procrastinate? Tell the teacher that you understand what you did wrong and that it won't happen again. If it's a big assignment and all else fails, pretend to cry. It works every time. Good luck!
