cmos ram might be corrupt. run bios setup and reset bios to default settings. if it occurs again try, flashing bios.
You can try resetting your CMOS to the defaults; otherwise I would lean towards a bad device. If resetting the CMOS doesn't fix it, try installing the device in another slot, and if that doesn't work, don't use the device.
