What should you do if you have a new roomate who is very polite and thoughtful but since she moved in things started going wrong and you can't blame her because most of the time she is not home?

You didn't say if you were both females, or you are a male and she's female. If you are both females then you are probably feeling this way because she's not living up to your expectations. You probably thought the two of you would "set-up house", be good friends and have some good laughs together; even perhaps go out on dates together. She seems like a free spirit and you're feeling lonely. Perhaps you feel you are missing out on a lot. The best thing to do is communicate your feelings to her, and if you don't feel like doing that then it's time to get out with friends and keep busy yourself. If you are a male roommate you could simply be jealous of her being out and the thought of her being with another man. Again communication is everything. Answer It sounds like you are blaming her at some level for what is happening. Expectations may be part of it; but perhaps it is the loss of control you have in sharing your household with someone. Even if she is not there when you are, her stuff is and she may be there when you are gone. Good or bad, you sound uncomfortable with the situation and you need to figure out what you need to be back on solid ground. Then, things will go better with you in other areas of your life.
