What should you do if your computer does not detect two optical drives simultaneously when the master slave jumper settings are ok?

Check the jumpers on the optical drives, play around with those. Check for compatibility with your OS, check the device manager, check for possible drivers needed although unlikely.

Optical mouse: Most desktop computer users today have some type of optical mouse, which uses devices that emit and sense light to detect the mouse's movement.

An optical mouse is a computer mouse which uses an optical sensor as opposed to mechanical means to detect user input. Optical mouses are generally more reliable, have greater sensitivity, and can work on a wider variety of surfaces than traditional mechanical mouses.

Usually, when there is power failure, the computer won't turn on. Other times, it may turn on but due to inadequate power, hard drives and optical drives may keep disappearing and reappearing in 'My Computer'.

An optical mouse functions by using a laser light sensor to detect movement of the mouse instead of a roller ball. An optical mouse can be wired or wireless.

There are telescopes used to detect radio waves and others to detect infrared radiation.

Photons or Light given off by stellar objectsNormally they detect the intensity of this light (Digital Cameras count the Photons).

Optical telescopes magnify an optical image - something that can be seen. They have lenses that magnify the image from light waves. they differ from Radio telescopes that detect waves other than the visual spectrum, these waves can not be "seen".

Your eyes detect it, (retina) it is then sent down your optical nerve to the brain

this is same as the mechanical mouse eccept that it uses optical sensors to detect the motion of the ball

because radio waves travel much further than an eye and a optical telescope can see.

Ellen Ochoa patented an optical system to detect defects in a repeating pattern, an optical object recognition method, and a noise removal method for images.

it should detect the CD when you put it in, If not, your CPU is screwed up

You should unplug your ipod from the computer and then re-plug it :)

A "ball mouse" or mechanical mouse is a computer mouse which detects user inputs using a system of servos detecting the movements of a ball (inside the mouse) which rolls on the desk surface. The most common alternative, the "optical mouse" uses optical sensors to detect user inputs. The optical mouse is widely considered to be superior in all important respects, and is therefore becoming much more common then their mechanical cousins.

You will need a cable that runs from the PC to the LCD projector. They usually come with the projector. If you turn on the computer, then turn on the projector, then connect the cable, it should automatically detect and appear on the LCD projector. Otherwise, you will have to configure some computer settings to output to the LCD display.

An optical mouse is a mouse which uses an optical sensor to detect movement, as opposed to a mechanical mouse which does this mechanically. A wireless mouse is a mouse which uses wireless technology in order to avoid having to be tethered to the computer by a wire. This is usually done through RF (radio-frequency) or bluetooth (a specific standardized type of RF) technology, but may also use IR (infra-red) technology. It is possible (and quite common) for a mouse to be both wireless and optical.
