The most important thing to do is to run the mower until it runs out of gas. Try to start it a couple more times after that to make sure all the gas is gone. If you don't run it out then make sure you put a gas stabilizer in it.

Other than that, just make sure it is clean and dry.

Store it in a dry location. Next spring change the oil, put fresh gas in it, sharpen or replace the blade/s and you should be ready to go.
