The most important thing to do is to run the mower until it runs out of gas. Try to start it a couple more times after that to make sure all the gas is gone. If you don't run it out then make sure you put a gas stabilizer in it.
Other than that, just make sure it is clean and dry.
Store it in a dry location. Next spring change the oil, put fresh gas in it, sharpen or replace the blade/s and you should be ready to go.

∙ 13y agoYou garden hose needs special care as you store it during winter. You need to drain the hose fully before storage to avoid freezing of water within the hose. Keep holding one end of the hose above your shoulder level till water drips and repeat this for the entire length of the hose.
