Burn the tick to kill it.
Burn the tick and though it away.
After you remove the dog tic, head and all, your dog should be just fine. If you WANT, you could swab the area with hydrogen peroxide, but it isn't necessary.
you need to pop or twist the body off and then take a match, light it, blow it out, and then use it's hot tip and press it against the head embedded in the skin and the heat will pop it out.
Throw it out if it's dead or put it outside.

I have a 1989 Probe and also had a tick, I found that the exhaust manifold bolts were loose. I removed the heat shield and tighten the bolts. NO MORE TICK
Take a match and light it and or heat up a piece of metal, wait a second and blow it out. Very quickly touch the back of the tick. The heat will cause the tick to back out as far as it can. The head and or teeth of the tick will still be connected. You take your finger tip and thumb and squeeze the back and underside of the tick. Slowly pull it out, it takes a little work but it will come out.
First of all . . . never pull on a tick that is attached to an animal's skin. It can break off and leave the tick's head under the skin. If that happens, then there is a high risk of infection. A veterinarian should removed the remainder of the tick, and apply and antibiotic. He/She may decide to put the cat on a course of antibiotic tablets.
The duration of ...tick...tick...tick... is 1.67 hours.
If the surrounding area is swollen or red, the dog may have an infection from the tick bite, but if the skin looks and feels normal around where the tick was removed, there shouldn't be any connection to the tick bite. Also, make sure you removed all of the tick's head and mandibles from the bite spot, as this could keep the wound open allowing infections to enter. Always see a vet for a final answer.

The nemesis of pets and tall grass everywhere, ticks are blood-sucking, disease-carrying insects that should be removed from your loved ones as soon as they're spotted. However, there's a right way to doing it! Never, ever pluck a tick straight from the skin. This can cause infected fluid to ooze out of its body and into the wound. Instead, use a pair of tweezers or the very tips of your fingernails to grab the tick's head - the part closest to the skin - and pull straight out. Don't squeeze or twist. When you're done, dispose of the tick and wash the area thoroughly with soap and water. Congrats, you've just safely removed a tick!
yeah yeah yeahs : Tick
