You should talk to her about it. Take it from a girl....personally I would want you to talk to me about it. But if her primary focus is her education first and you second (at school age), her head is on straight. She wants to do her best. If you are patient and understanding, that can pay you big dividends down the road. But do talk to her - gently - about it. Give her a chance, and see what she says.
