every girl is different - and depends upon what you are trying to "say" by the gesture.
Ten dollars (US) is usually adequate amount to spend. Many girls are more impressed by something which has been made by yourself - because it reflects that you have more of yourself vested in it.
Just like you would be, girls are as much impressed with the thought and effort which has gone into the guift as they are the gift itself.
Even a purchased gift should reflect some thought about colors, preferences etc.

∙ 14y agoWell that's always a difficult age to decide what to be giving a birthday girl. Well why don't you buy her a rose??..It never fails to impress and it's always in style. And to put a touch of intimacy and loving into it, write a letter to her and attach it to the rose, or write a poem, that's much more romantic....good luck....
