The family name is - Polychrotidae
When a male green anole is ready to mate,he'll start bobbing his head and displaying or showing his red dewlap to the females.when he does this,he may even try to jump or chase at the females.when a female is ready to mate, she will try to put her head down allowing the male to grab her neck.then the male will stick his tail near the female's vent.then the mating will successfully take place.
Female anole lizards most of the time.... well.. I don't know. I just got my 2 anole lizards today and they both are females, though I can not tell if I have one that is pregnant... I will find out and hopefully and respond ASAP! :)
polychrotidae
Yes - it's part of the 'courtship' ritual.
The male anole shoots its red flap out like a frog and tries to impress the female.
i know when they have eggs its when the female is always by the place she lad her eggs
No, a female Green Anole cannot produce fertilized eggs without the presence of a male. However, she may still produce infertile eggs even in the absence of a male. These eggs will not develop into hatchlings, but the female can lay them as part of her natural reproductive cycle.
If your green anole gets burned, you should keep it in a cool, but not that cool spot for about a minute or two, then put it in a place at room temperture, and it should take a few months for it to heal
No - Absolutely NOT ! The babies should be separated as soon after they appear as is possible - to the adult for mistaking the young for a small food !
Bring your lizard inside. It will be much happier and the other lizards will not terrorize it.
