What you pray for is pretty personal. Some people consider prayer to be a constant conversation with God, so there is not really a first and last. It is just a picking up where you left off, like you would a friend. Personally, when I start out, I like to go over the things I am grateful for that day. It is good for me to remember that there is more than just problems, and it is good to acknowledge God for taking care of things.

I don't believe the question should be "how often should we pray?", but rather "Do we pray?". As a Christian I believe we should be 100% of the day in dialog with the Lord. If we set certain times and hours that we should pray we place Christians in a box and the relationship becomes a tradition. This is a dangerious point ...! We shuld pray 24/7 as Paul said "Pray without stop". after all, prayer is a normal conversation between the Lord and the Christian; not a heavy "something" that only the most holy can do!Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, ....

God does not necessarily give you what you want. What you pray for may be the opposite of what others are praying for. No one should tell you what you SHOULD pray for, just do it responsibly and thoughtfully.
