If you have a crush on him, go for it! It may seem awkward at first, but keep yourself occupyed by telling jokes or if it's a study thing just study! NEVER let there be awkward silences. That just puts pressure on the boy to do something. If you don't have a crush on him or just don't like him, just let him down gently by saying, "I have swim practice tonight," but if you are lying make it convincing! Don't say something crazy like, "I have Scuba diving lessons," and try to have a little detail. Never just say, "I'm busy." That's the worst possible thing to say!
