If you come in the summer, semi light clothes. A light jacket, jeans, and short sleeve shirts are fine. Our summers can range between 40 Fahrenheit to 50 Fahrenheit (6 and 7 degrees Celsius?) and sometimes can get up to 60, if lucky 70, it's not like Florida or Cali's weather.
For the winter I'd suggest that you have a winter coat, gloves, handwarmers, and winter gear because the winters can be very cold at times. There's snow so something in your car like to get the snow off?
When you're used to it, you'll find it most comfortable but some what annoying, and feel like you don't have to wear a coat in Alaska, more summer that is haha.
The nice things is though, we have a lot of pretty animals, and the mountain ranges that cover Anchorage are beautiful. The night skies, and it does rain in the summer.
We get the Northern lights too.
Very pretty place :) it'd be something new to try out but again, Winters can be cold.
As long as you are in the United States already, you need nothing more than a ticket on an airline to go to Alaska. It is a state, just like Hawaii.
For a US Citizen virtually none.
