Turn to something suitable for the child to watch.
Somethin that you both will agree on that is age appropriate.
Kids, when kids watch shows they get addicted which means more big ratings. Adults doesn't watch it all day. So, kids.
Paper route, babysitting, running errands, cutting grass, doing chores.
Play Scrabble, watch game shows, facebook, stalk children, make oatmeal, and yell at kids to "get that ball off my lawn" ,and etc.

i think that it is because they don't realise that they are not all just silly little kids shows some of them do actually have a meaning behind them. they are also not used to this because they did not have it when they were younger and can only relate them to when they were kids shows. to make them realise they would have to sit down and watch some really
no. they are kids shows and the directors make sure they are safe.

---- PLAY WITH IT, WATCH A MOVIE WITH IT(make sure its age appropiate), JUST DON'T LEAVE IT ALONE AT ALL quoted by me

you could take books, coloring items, movies, anything that lets the kids have fun. you can also make up your own games with the kids. a puppet show keeps the kids under control so you if you have any puppets bring them if you can. choose games that are appropriate for the age you are babysitting. you need to bring a first aid and CPR kit if you've taken a course.
If you are babysitting high energy kids, make sure you have plenty of activities to keep them occupied. Find activities outside such as jump rope or tag, if weather permits.
You would watch there shows and copy it on a piece of paper
