There are lots of stereotypes about epilepsy that create stigmas and fear. Epilepsy only affects someone when they are actually having a seizure so at all other times they are the same as anyone else. Some people think that people with epilepsy are less intelligent or mentally ill. Epilepsy is a physical condition, not a mental one, so people with epilepsy have normal intellectual ability. Some people think it is a contagious disease, which it isn't. You cannot catch epilepsy from someone. Some people think that flashing lights cause seizures although that is only the case for about 3% to 5% of all of the people that have epilepsy. For all others, flashing lights have no affect on them and do not trigger their seizures. People think people with epilepsy can have the danger of swallowing their tongue during a seizure. It is actually impossible for anyone to swallow their tongue, so someone having a seizure cannot do so. So you should never put something in someone's mouth when they are having a seizure to try to prevent them from doing so. You could actually do some damage, by injuring their mouth. If they suddenly closed their mouth and bit on the item in it they could injure themselves or maybe break a tooth. If you know someone who has epilepsy you will know that they are no different to anyone else, except when they are having a seizure. People with epilepsy can go for days, weeks, months or years without having a seizure. A normal seizure only lasts a few minutes and people can recover very quickly after having one, depending on how serious it is. So the vast majority of the time they live perfectly normal lives.
put on your 4 ways and hope to god someone stops
Epilepsy is not considered until you have had more than one seizure. In order to be diagnosed with epilepsy, a neurologist will have an EEG done. This reads the electrical activity in your brain. From there, the doctor can determine weather or not you are epileptic.
It really does not matter. Just put it on the side that is farther away from someone else, so it does not collide.
A levy involves seizure of property. Only the I.R.S. or state government can place a tax levy on someone's property. Here is a helpful link: http://www.irs.gov/businesses/small/article/0,,id=108341,00.html
If someone begins to have a seizure, the first thing you should do is be sure they are in a safe area while seizing. Move away anything they could hit themselves on, especially their head. Do not attempt to put anything in their mouth, as this could cause choking. Also, do not try to hold on to them, or keep them from seizing. Simply keep them from hitting things (especially their head), and then get help for them.

Move them away from sharp edges. Put something soft like a pillow beneath the head. Move the patient so that they are on their side with arms and legs locked and their mouth is down with their chin up. If they vomit, let them, but make sure it drains from the mouth.
