The question needs some clarification. Each of these are drugs to treat depression. Each can be taken separately. Frequently wellbutrin is added to regimens of Zoloft to try to provide energy or correct sexual problems.

Wellbutrin has a series of potential withdrawal symptoms. It is best to try to taper from a high dose down to a low dose... 300mg, to 150mg, to 100mg to 75mg. Others report that they can stop wellbutrin immediately with no withdrawal. Best to work with your doctor.

Zoloft has a very well documented withdrawal syndrome, with electrical or zappy feelings as one of the events. The original poster of this answer below did not indicate which medication they were withdrawing from or which dosages. The important information is that they recommend a taper down. Zoloft can be tapered very slowly into very small doses. Wellbutrin can be taken in small doses ( a 75 mg can be cut in two). The higher formulations of Wellbutrin can not be cut. Before cutting a pill of anysort both your doctor and a pharmacist should be consulted.

I had major withdrawel symptoms - nausea, vomiting and shakes for 10 days. I HIGHLY recommend "stepping" off these drugs and not stopping cold turkey.

none in my experience. zoloft is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), whereas wellbutrin is a reuptake inhibitor of primarily dopamine and norepinephrine also. all three of these chemicals are associated with mood, appetite, sleep and pleasure, so its just about finding the right one for you. I had ZERO side effects while changing medications. When coming off Zoloft, it is very important that it is done gradually. The side effects of coming off too rapidly can be very frightening.

definitely talk to your doctor before discontinuing use of zoloft or sertraline. this is something that you want to be weaned off of. recently i ran out of medication and was too busy to go pick up more and after 3 days i started feeling the side effects. I was dizzy and unfocused and felt nauseous. Every time i turned my head, heard a loud noise, or there was a change in brightness my head would spin in an odd way. I experienced hot flashes and i had some really weird and vivid dreams.
