The alternator, or stator, is behind the pull-start cover on the right side of the engine.
On the stator cover on the right side of the engine. Their will be a 9/16" bolt at the top of the housing, which is your timing hole.
suzuki what? the gsxr 1300 it is located in the left engine side cover with the stator.
A motorcycle doesn't have an alternator like a car, there is a stator, which is behind the stator cover, on the left side of the engine, the cover should have Honda stamped into it

The Vin number on a Polaris Xplorer 400 is located on the Manufacturer`s sticker that is located on the front plastic just below the oil filler cap. If the sticker is missing you can find the numbers on the frame on the right side of the quad just in front of the engine.
Start by removing the stator side engine cover. There should be around 10-12 bolts (8mm). Next pull the flywheel. On the backside of the flywheel is 8 Allen bolts. Remove these and your starter clutch assembly will be off.
the starter is located under the belhousing ehere the trand and engine meet. it will be helt up with 3 bolts. but you have to disconect the battery and disconnect the wiring from the starter befor removel. look on the passenget side underneith the car.
