Queensland has a very agreeable climate with relatively mild winters .Until recently it offered the cheapest petrol prices in the country.The cost of living is generally cheaper than the other states due to its ability to grow most foods within its borders .It has a very laid back attitude to life which is most agreeable to the over taxed brain.There is an ever increasing population of retirees moving up from the south to enjoy the sunshine in their twilight years.

Queensland is particularly known for its beaches and surf, so much of the tourist industry is aimed at highlighting the beaches and ocean activities, particularly Scuba diving, snorkelling, Surfing and swimming.

Third in line would be the outback and the wide, open spaces of western and central Queensland.
