The arm has two bolts to the frame and the ball joint has a pinch bolt to the steering knuckle. place a jack under the knuckle and jack it up a little, then pry ball joint out, unbolt frame bolts and pull it out. I heat the yoke eye and joint cap with a torch until the plastic oozes out then press the joint out as usual. The replacement joint will have regular retaining clips to hold the joint cap in place.
There are two brackets that hold the steering column to the dash frame. Remove the bolts that hold the brackets to the dash frame. There is one bolt that connects the universal joint to the rest of the steering shaft. All these bolts are accessible under the dash. Beyond that you need to unplug the electrical, and also if you have an automatic, you need to disconnect the park innerlock cable from the column. (Easier after you have lowered the column out of place)
Have you removed your drive shalf, if so, make sure you have your rear universal seated in the slot where the u-bolts hold it in place.
