I have a 1966 Mustang with a 302 V8 motor in it, and I'm pretty sure the body styles are the same for the 1964- 1966 Mustangs.
The ones that mount to the engine block are interchangeable. The motor mount brackets that mount to the shock tower frame are marked L for left hand and R for right hand. Left is always the driver side and right is always the passenger side when dealing with early Ford products.
First produced by Ford, then sent to Shelby Motor company to be "upgraded". Carol Shelby is credited for making the Shelby Mustang.

there should be a mounting bracket that screws onto the door and then the mirror screws to the bracket.
I believe that is 3.68 inches for the 200 cubic inch straight 6 cylinder
