A cake tin is a metal container in which cakes can be placed.
You need to grease the cake tin because otherwise the cake will stick to the tin and you wont be able to remove it whole.
Size and shape would be the difference. Cake tins tend to be round or in a shape like a heart or something. Baking tin square or rectangle. Cake tins have shorter sides. Anything can be used for anything, so it is probably more the person using the term more than anything. Most recipe's will call for a size of pan and that will determine what you use.
A sandwich tin is a type of cake tin, but it is shallower than the tin used to bake a whole cake. Typically if making a sponge you might divide the mixture between two sandwich tins, rather than baking it in one cake tin. This produces two flatter cakes (and reduces the baking time). When cold these two cakes may be 'sandwiched' together (hence the name) with jam and whipped cream to make one taller cream-filled cake. The top would then be dusted with icing sugar. It ensures that all the layers of a cake to be stacked are the same size and avoids the fiddly and messy need to slice a cake in half horizontally if you want to fill it.

you don't (first answer) If you bake the cake in a tin/pan with baking paper, when finished lift out the cake from the tin and let it cool down. Then cut out a nice heart shape from a piece of paper the size of the cake. Lay the heart shape on the cake and cut carefully around it. Then you have a heart shaped cake and with beautiful pink vanilla icing on the top, you will never be able to tell you did not have a heart shaped tin to begin with!
One good way to ship a cake is to pack it first in a tin with a tight lid. Then pack the tin in a larger box with plenty of light weight packing material such as foam peanuts tightly filling the space between the tin and the box. It is possible to line the tin with parchment paper then bake the cake directly in the tin. This ensures the cake fits securely within the tin, and will not shift during shipping.
cakes can crack if the oven is too hot or your cake tin is the wrong size, by mixing dry fruits can also cracks the cake,, over baked cakes can be cracked

The area of a parallelogram with base 18cm and perpendicular height 18cm is 324 cm2
Yes you can! But, you may need more than one tin because, it will rise over the sides of the tin making it harder to get the cake out. I hope this is helpful!
