Starting with a normal ear piercing size (piercing gun stud) The first one listed is normal size and go up in size from there. 14g = 1.6mm 12g = 2.0mm 10g = 2.4mm 08g = 3.2mm 06g = 4.0mm 04g = 5.0mm 02g = 6.0mm 01g = 7.0mm 0g = 8.0mm 00g = 10.0mm 0g and 00g are the largest the average person wants to go to unless they don't care about the ear lobe shrinking down to a normal size down the road. Over )) the sizes would go up by millimeters or imperial fractional sizes. The lower the gauge number the thicker the jewellery.

not really because if the plug is too small for the stretched hole then its bound to fall out, but if you want to go down From 00g to 0g then i advise you should take the plug you have in currently, leave it for a few weeks for it to shrink, then but the 0g plug in.
After stretching ears your ear hole looks like a 2g hole but it is stretched to a 00g?

Most likely, they won't. But it depends on the person. Usually they won't close up past 16mm or 5/8".
What is the biggest size of gauges that you can get?
That depends on how big you want to go. Expander ear lobe jewellery can go from gauges into the inches. The smallest gauge is 18g {AWG} or 1.0 mm and goes up to 00g {AWG} or 10 mm past that point you're going to be going up either by inch increments or by millimetre's with the maximum available size of 2 inches or 50 mm.
How do you protect gauges in a mosh pit?
Anything under 00g should be fine in a pit, but wear double flared plugs so they don't pop out. Anything over 00g stretches don't wear plugs to the show. If you're stretched enough to wrap your lobe around the top of your ear, some people do that. That way nobody can get their hands/fingers in your holes and rip your lobe.
Is a 2 ear gauge smaller than a 0 ear gauge?
Yes. You're ears are normally pierced at a 16g then it goes 14g, 12g.....2g, 0g, 00g then you get into the fraction of an inch sizes
Do stretched ears affect career or job oppotunities?
Yes. Just about any body modification does. But, if you have relatively small stretches(00g and less) and are willing to wear retainers/hider plugs, you'll be fine.
