Depending on engine, it is either a Dana 35 or Dana 44.
Yes, but they are actually axle bearings.
I have a 2001 and it came with a Dana 30 front and a Dana 44 rear Answer No.2 I have a 1998 Jeep Wrangler (TJ) Sahara. Most came out of the factory with a Dana 30 front axle and a Dana 35C rear axle, though an option of upgrading to a Dana 44 rear was available, they are rare. Most have a stock gear ratio of 3.73.
Could be either 3.07 to 1 or 3.73 to 1 Both were an option.
No. The Dana 44 rear differential was an upgrade option, and came as part of a package including a limited slip differential. In my 2002 Wrangler Sahara I believe Jeep referred to it as either the Canyon Option or maybe the Off-Road Option.
You have either a Dana 35 or a Dana 44 rear axle. The differential cover on a Dana 35 is a perfect oval shape, while the Dana 44 is more angular, almost a stop sign shape.

Typically they would have a Dana 35 rear axle, unless if someone has upraded it to a Dana 44.
hello
The ratio is on a tag on front and rear axle between 2 of the cover bolts
A Jeep Wrangler is rear wheel drive, with four wheel drive option.

Check your control arms, one may be broken if the axle is twisting.
