there isn't a diffrent size reed for a blaser you can get spacers in a reed cage but best reeds i think are the vito carbon reeds
check your reeds
you can take the air box cover off, buy a new exaust system, get the engine bored out, stroke the engine, change out the sprockets, get a longer swingarm (for lower center of gravity), flip the wheels(make it so that the valve stem is to the insidethis makes it wider), and get better reeds im 13 i had a blaster and it went around 80. now i have a 08 300ex.
It will make it hard to tune and will have sporadic rev habits. My recommendation would be to drop $5 on a gasket (only uses 1 from the factory) and take the reed cage out and visually inspect the reeds for cracks or chips.
You don't. Reeds are not an adjustable part. If something is wrong with them, which hardly ever happens, you have to replace them.
its probably not getting gas to the engine. clean your carb out and look at the reeds. if not you dont have enough compression to pull gas into it. its probably not getting gas to the engine. clean your carb out and look at the reeds. if not you dont have enough compression to pull gas into it.
Well, it is made out of reeds so just tak some card bored and make it in to an aulos then put reeds all around it so it looks like its made out of reeds
First clean the jets in ur carb good and if doesnt work ur reeds are probably worn out
There is a lot of unknowns in your question. Other factors as carburator, exhaust, spark plug,reeds,etc.. All of these will effect performance, horsepower and speed. I am working on my blaster now with a Weisco piston kit .040 over,Mikuni flat slide carb,FMF exhaust system, NKG iridium plug, high voltage wire and a new reed not yet determined. my buddy had his going 160km and let off.. just has reeds.
Check the boot between carb and reed cage. Sounds like it may have a crack or hole and suckin air. This will cause it to rev uncontrollably. Also make your throttle is not stuck open. Needle may not be seating correctly.
no. they have been known to be slightly faster than other stock bikes but a Yamaha with a pipe or reeds is just as fast depending on the rider aswell
Reeds grow in river
