What size socket do you need to change the spark plugs for a Civic?

it is always best to use a spark plug socket if you can because these will grip the plug as you remove it but, failing that, a 5/8", and also 16mm 'might' work as well but stick with 5/8" if you can so it doesn't slip.
Have long needle nose pliers to pull the plugs out of the block if you don't have a strong magnet. Don't overtighten the new plugs, the threads can be stripped easily.
