First unplug the wire harness from the switch. Using the correct size socket (1" if I remember correctly) remove the switch counterclockwise from the transmission. Install the new one in reverse order.

To remove the rear seat back in a 1992 Chrysler LeBaron Convertible, first, locate the retaining bolts at the bottom of the seat back; these are usually accessible from the trunk. Use a socket wrench to remove the bolts. Once the bolts are removed, gently pull the seat back upward and away from the seat base to detach it. Be cautious of any clips or connectors that may also need to be released.
