Rim sizes are either 195/75/R14 or 205/75/R15... It will say right on your tires what size your tire is.
First off you should not install tires that are not the correct size. But if you do, make sure the tires on each axle are both the same size. Both front tires same size, and both rear tires same size.
Tires come in every possible size you could imagine.
Open the driver's door and look for a sticker that shows the tire size and recommended inflation pressure for your Ranger My '94 Ranger, with factory rims wear 195/70R14s
I put a 3.5 inch lift on my 94 can run 31 inch tires with a good amount of clearance. You could also get 33 inch tires in there easily, but will be faced with some extra strain on the engine when it turns bigger tires.
