German Hessians.... Today, we might call them mercenaries...
They were on the British side; They were loyal to the King.
Technically it did not end the fighting because there were still small skirmishes. Yorktown was the last major battle and "ended the fighting" because the British started loseing citys and did not have enough soldiers, allies and confidence of winning the war. Also lots of money was being used to transport soldiers to America.
No!
lack if respect Lack of respect for the Patriot soldiers.
to get all the money to pay the british soldiers loan
no money
They were given money and medals women and were remembered
One disadvantage towards the Loyalists (the British) was that their soldiers were mercenaries which means that they fought for money, while the Patriots (the Americans) had soldiers who fought for freedom.
It was "local" for the American troops and they knew the land/features. They had more people to fight than the British did. A fair number of British troops were Ireland so their forces weren't as great as they could have been.
So that they could get money because the British Soldiers also got paid lots of money.
Hey here are some advantages- money, more men, well equipped soldiers, professional soldiers, AND, ships to carry supplies!
he was at some battle in the revelutionary war. and the british gave him money and bribed him into telling them were the army was hiding. he did it and the british killed thousands of American soldiers.
