It's set to repeat. In the top left of the "now playing" song right under the first set of numbers is a symbol with arrows. Tap on that to change it.
When you're on the 'Now Playing' screen, tap the screen so that you can see the song length and everything else. There should be a symbol that looks like a loop with arrows, press it so that it's white and repeat will be turned off. White: No repeat Blue: Repeat playlist Blue with '1': Repeat song
If you still have Android 2.1, there is a arrow sign at the bottom of the screen while playing a song, click it and it will repeat. If you're running Android 2.3.3, I don't think it's possible.

Your iPod is on "repeat." Turn it off at the the main menu under "settings."
