A dinner party.
love story and romantic
They are very young--Juliet is only 13. They are rich and both of them are the only children of their parents. Romeo is, it would appeared, a bit spoiled by his mother; Juliet, on the other hand, is almost ignored by her mother and has been raised pretty much by her Nurse.
Yeah, I don't really get that either. Romeo and Juliet are sort of like who couples want to be like (I don't get WHY but they do) It's probably because Romeo and Juliet really loved each other enough to die for one and other so when a couple is really in love people say that.
The young characters in Romeo and Juliet tend to go to adult role models, sort of surrogate parents, for advice. Both Romeo and Juliet seek advice from the priest Friar Lawrence and Juliet also confides in her Nurse. Other than them, nobody in the play seems to ask for advice. Tybalt in particular could have used some.
The play Romeo and Juliet was sort of based on actual civil strife in 13th century Verona, Italy.
There is no eprolouge but the Prince Escalus's last line sort of acts as the eprolouge
They meet at the Capulet's place in am party sort of thing for Rosaline.
Shakespeare wrote his play Romeo and Juliet for theatre companies to perform, specifically Lord Strange's Men, which was the company he was sort of with at the time (possibly as a hired actor, possibly just as a hired playwright)
The Nurse provided the rope ladder for Romeo to climb up to Juliet's room on their wedding night and she served as a messanger for Juliet. She was one of the few adults in on the secret, along with Friar Lawrence, and since women Juliet's age weren't allowed out of the house often, the Nurse sent messages between Romeo and Juliet. The Nurse also raised Juliet since she was an infant, and even breastfed her. She was more of a mother to her than Lady Capulet.
