Circa (stylized C1RCA or C1rca) is a skateboard footwear and apparel company that started in 1999 and is based in San Clemente, California. It was started by Four Star Distribution along with Chad Muska as its first professional rider.

It's technically a circle rather than a sphere (the highlighting does make it look sort of three-dimensional), but the most famous company I know of that has a logo that could be described in that way is AT&T. If it's on something old, their 1984 "Death Star" logo fits the description even better.

I guess this theme is pretty popular with educational institutions.
The newest logo for the Chelsea Football Club is blue, red, and white and has a lion in the center. The lion appears to be holding a staff of some sort. There is also two small symbols on each side of the logo.

Depends what sort of studio it is really, if its a photograpy studio, then yes its great, but if not, then not really. If its a dance studio you should think about something like "2Step" and combine the 2 and S together to make a logo :)
