Yes, the Salish did use buffalo hides to construct tipi's. It took seven to make a medium size tipi and twelve or more for large ones.

It was their summer home.
Yes. You can do that. Make sure the wood is completely dry or it will twist on you. Use a sealer when you are done to seal the chemicals in.
It is typical to use pressure treated "2 x 4" for tub support framing.
I have wood paneling in my living room. It is high quality picture frame paneling. What is the best wood furniture cleaner that would work on my walls?

Tipis were made from wood and animal skins. Lodgepole Pines or Red Cedar was the preferred wood. The cover was made from tanned buffalo hide, although elk was also used. Ropes made from sinew and wooden pegs were also used.
Depends on the state you live in and the local regulations.
I would choose old style wood or bamboo.
To build a photo frame of wood you will need a precise ruler, a good small saw, wood glue, four clamps (or one four-corner clamp) and some suitable wood. Cut out four pieces of wood, each a bit longer than the sides of the picture, two centimeters high and between one or two centimeters thick. Make two 45 degree cuts at each end of the four pieces of wood, so the outer side is longer than the inner side and the so that the inner sides have the same lengths as the picture. The 45 degrees cuts are where the frame pieces fits together. Make a cut on the inside of the four frame pieces - this is where the picture fits. Use the clamp(s) and the wood glue together with the frame pieces to make a solid frame. Use sandpaper if necessary.
because they only use the buffalo for the skin for clothing and the tipi
