Dogs bark. Some smaller dogs may have more high pitched voices. It may sound somelike a chirping noise. Or, like my dog, it may be larger. Most likely it will have a more strong low pitched bark.

It all depends what they have been trained to recognise as something unusual.
Gundogs, recognise the sound of a shotgun as a meaning to search and hunt for the fallen bird. Foxhounds use the sound of the bugle to give them direction, ditto sheepdogs and the call.
Any noise, that a dog is unsure about will scare it.
Try to comfort the dog when the noises occur (fireworks etc) and it will soon learn that the noises are nothing to be afraid of.
