None. The moon missions were launched by a Saturn 5 rocket carrying an Apollo space capsule. The space shuttles were used for earth orbit missions.
the first space shuttle was used for test flights i dont know i think so???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
The very first Space Shuttle was called Enterprise. However this was just used for test purposes and although it was initially intended to do so, it was never used for actual space flights. It was used for testing basic flight and landing operations within Earth's atmosphere. The first one to go into space was Columbia.
The space shuttle is not designed to go to the moon and has never gone to the moon; it is strictly used for travelling to and from Earth's orbit (and has mostly been used to travel to the International Space Station). If the shuttle were for some reason flown to the moon, it would crash there, since it requires an atmosphere in order to land successfully. However, if it was your intention to fly the shuttle to the moon and crash, that could be done in about 3 days, in theory. I doubt that NASA would approve the mission.
The first constructed Space Shuttle was the Enterprise. It was a craft only used for handling and landing tests and study glide characteristics. It never traveled into space. The first flight certified shuttle was Columbia, the first shuttle to fly into space in 1981.First space shuttle used for testing transport / return was Enterprise, which was not made fully functional until other craft were lost.Enterprise was the first space shuttle, but was not meant to go into space, and was used for testing purposes. Colombia was the first fully- functional shuttle.Original the Space Shuttle was going to called the Constitution but a lot of fan from the Televison show "Star Trek" wrote to NASA and because of all the letter, NASA renamed it to "Enterprise"Also the Space Shuttle Enterprise was use in the credit for the show "Star Trek: Enterprise" when it was pull out from the hangerEnterprise, the first Space Shuttle Orbiter, was originally to be named Constitution (in honor of the U.S. Constitution's Bicentennial). However, viewers of the popular TV Science Fiction show Star Trek started a write-in campaign urging the White House to select the name Enterprise.Columbia was the first shuttle to enter space on 12 April 1981. The shuttle Enterprise was used before this, but never went into space. The first Space Shuttle completed was named "Enterprise", and was completed in 1977. It never made space flight, though, as it never was equipped with a functioning heat shield, or even engines. It was used simply for test flights within the atmosphere. The first Space Shuttle to complete a mission to space was named the "Columbia". It was completed in 1979, and made the first trip to space of any Space Shuttle in 1981.
Enterprise was the first space shuttle orbiter built but it was used only for flight tests and was not capable of going into space. Columbia was the first orbiter built which was space worthy and launched on STS-1
The first manned space shuttle mission occurred on the 12th of April 1981. However it was the space shuttle Columbia, not the Saturn V rocket. The Saturn V rocket was first used for a manned mission on December the 21st 1968. Two very different space vehicles. The Saturn V rocket was used to send man to the Moon, where as the space shuttle is used to sent humans into Earth orbit.

There is a new project that would allow us to go to the Moon or possibly beyond(project is named Orion). Space shuttle aren't capable of travel to the Moon. No spaceship currently used is able to fly a man to the Moon.

lunar rover is a vehicle that is used on moon to collect relavant data's and minerals from the surface of the moon it works on the power of the sun (solar energy)but we don't know that how it does not float in space even though there is no gravity on moon it has a arials which gives and receive from the space shuttle which is still in space
UUUHH...it's called a "space shuttle" main engine...why do you think?
