in the late 80's through mid 90's a champion spark plug was original equipment from the factory. The under hood sticker will give the correct spark plug and gap as well as valve clearance for in&ex
One would need to know the horsepower rating of the engine to answer this question.
yes....
According to Champion, the correct gap varies depending upon the application. Most applications show an OEM gap of .025" but a few had an OEM gap of .030". I would set it slightly on the wide side of .025", and it will be good enough.
I'd recommend using the OEM plugs. Which would be champion double platinums.
In a Champion it would be an RJ19LNM for a valve-in-block engine and an RC12YC for the OHV engines
It depends on application, but .030-.035 inch would be average.
Depending on the model, it could differ, but the most common would be the champion CJ8 spark plug, or similar, double check at your parts store before you buy.
i WORK IN AN AUTO PARTS STORE AND WITHOUT A DOUBT THE BEST SPARK PLUGS TO USE FOR THE JEEP LIBERTY WOULD BE NGK BUT...THE ORIGINAL EQUIPTMENT IS CHAMPION.
The super bowl champion would kill...
The replacement plug for Champion RJ2YLE would be B&S 799876. This spark plug should have a gap of .020. This type of plug should not be used though with Quantum series 625, 675 and 725 or any L-head engine.
My 16" Craftsman 36 cc chainsaw manual calls out for a Champion RCJ7Y....if that is the same size chainsaw as yours, I would go with that plug.
