The killer whale may take whale calves, and sometime pods will attack adults, but the killer whale is not a true whale, but is in fact the world's largest dolphin.
Baleen Whales
All whales and sharks eat other animals.
There's no species known as a striped whale. However, the striped dolphin is related to whales, and eats fish, squid, krill, and other crustaceans.
The killer whale is a dolphin, and will eat smaller species.
The orca, or killer whale..This animal is not really a whale, but the largest species of dolphin.
Depends on the species of whale. The whales that are filter feeders - baleen whales - CAN'T eat sharks. They don't have the teeth to bite them into chunks, and they're too big to swallow whole. Now, to be picky, a baleen whale would be able to eat a really small shark, like a newborn, or some of the smallest species. But it'd be accidental, and not part of the regular diet. A big, toothed whale like the sperm whale, could probably eat a shark by intent. But aren't known to do so.
Killer whales will normally eat fish such as cod or they may eat sea otter they also attack other whales but the killer whale is not a whale it is a dolphin
well they can eat other whales including dolphins
They eat small fish in schools and zooplankton so they do depending on the species. Fin whales, humpback whales, Bryde's whales and sei whales all eat small fish.
Toothed whales (Odontoceti) this group includes dolphins and orcas. These whales eat meat. Baleen whales (Mysticeti)This group includes the Blue whale, Grey whale and Minke. They pull in a mouthful of seawater and feed on plankton.
There is one species of dolphin that hunts whales and that is a killer whale. In case you did not know killer whales are actually a species of oceanic dolphin in the family delphinidae. The reason we call it a killer whale is because it has been seen killing whales the name killer whale was originally killer of whales but over time has been shortened to killer whale. Killer whales will hunt down whale calves and have even been known trying to prey on blue whales ! :)
Killer Whales (AKA Orcas) eat seals, penguins, and even other whales.
the Chinook Indians did not eat or hunt whale because they did not live near the ocean witch is were whales live but alot of other Indians did eat whales...
Orcas or killer whales are opportunistic hunters. They will eat anything birds, sharks, fish, Penguins, Seals, walruses, Dolphins, whales they have even be seen trying to take down blue whales they eat most things but they do not eat humans. The killer whale is not actually a species of whale it is actually a type of dolphin in the family of oceanic dolphins delphinidae the reason we say killer whale is because they have been seen killing whales
