What are robots programed to do?
Robots are programmed to perform the specific task or tasks for which they were designed to perform. Robots are simply machines (hardware) that can perform one or more specific tasks. The programming (software) instructs the machine in which order to perform those tasks. Artificial intelligence programming can also be used to allow a robot to adapt to its environment.

What is the difference between macros in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel?
Not much, except that the macros would be written to perform different tasks, because Word (word processor) and Excel (spreadsheet) have different functions. Both are written by the user to perform a specific task, but since each application handles most tasks differently, the macros would need to be designed for the tasks relevant to the specific application.

What is advantages and disadvantages of robotic technology?
if we cannot able to stop it and it will be an environmental problem Another perspective: Robots are simply machines that have the ability to perform specific tasks. Robots are typically controlled by a computer or collection of computers. The robot can only perform those tasks for which they have been programmed. As of yet, there is no evidence that we will ever be able to create a computer that is capable of ever becoming a sentient entity. That being the case, the computer will always perform the specific tasks for which they have been programmed and will NEVER become autonomous, and the robots that they control will continue to perform a set of tasks that are clearly delineated. As with any new technology, there will always be those who fear change. The attitudes of the ignorant and fearful will always be a threat to true progress.
