At that age I would not be worrying about losing weight at 10- 13 years of age unless your child is overweight. If he is I would say a good sport for him/ her would be hockey because you have a lot of practices and you can burn a lot of calories which causes your child to lose weight. Or Lacrosse because it is a full contact sport also including football. Soccer is also good because it includes a lot of running yet you have to practice everyday that is the thing about all of the sports. But I really hope you aren't making your child do sports because you want him/ her to lose weight UNLESS it is really necessary
