Today, Jan. 17. 2011, I amused myself by counting hawks and eagles I could easily spot along I-88 as we traveled through Schoharie, Otsego, and Delaware counties. I counted 19 hawks of various types, and 4 bald eagles (probably two birds, but I saw them on the way down and also on the way back, in a different spot). Most prevalent hawks are the red tails.
